Are you looking for more natural solutions to your beauty routine?
When searching for new ideas for different face masks, we were horrified to learn of the chemicals that are now being put into facial products - and you should be too. Phthalates (used for softening plastic) and benzoyl peroxide (causes rapid aging) are just two of the chemicals commonly found in facial treatments. The AnnMarie team has very diligently put together a list of the top 10 most toxic skin care ingredients HERE.
This is why we submit to you...
Look familiar? Good! Recently, we, the Paleo Baking Company team, published our first beauty tip titled Coconut Oil Toothpaste with Activated Charcoal. We are a lot of things here, but wasteful is not one of them. So we wanted to look more into the two main ingredients that we used for the toothpaste, and find alternative uses for them. After digging further, we found this incredible all-natural face mask.
As stated in our previous post, coconut oil is anti-microbial and anti-fungal. Just like it works to remove the germs and bacteria from our mouths when using it in toothpaste, it also works to remove the bacteria from our face. The activated charcoal is a porous ingredient, and works by opening our pores and drawing out different metals and chemicals.

Makes approximately enough product for one use.
NOTE: Do NOT use metal bowls or stirring utensils with activated charcoal.

As always, be VERY careful with the charcoal in its powder form, as it will stain any surface that it touches.
